Riley was hired by Lotus Development to create the concept and design for their first restaurant project. Custom architectural features included metal dividers and teak booths to echo the train station that used to be on the site. As another project co-designing with Michael Hennessey, a custom furniture package manufactured in India gave the space an incredibly unique feeling. Carved mdf panels faux painted to resemble intricate tile work and sculptural mobile geese are two of the concepts Riley is most proud of executing for this brewery. As ever in Utah restaurant design, her challenge was to create a lockable liquor area behind the bar, complete with custom tap handles and sliding mesh paneling by her Project Sunday team, elevating the aesthetic of the practical necessities of this favorite Ogden watering hole for its time in existence.
